Kenai Peninsula Alaska Sunset

I shot this landscape image in Alaska around 11PM a couple weeks ago. It doesn’t get completely dark this time of year until 1230 or 1AM and then the morning light begins showing around 3AM. Wish we could have that much day light here when the waves are good! We fished for salmon in the Kenai River above and below the Kenai Lake at the bottom of the frame. The lake is over 1,000 feet deep and is a great resting spot for the salmon making their way up the river to spawn and die. I shot this image at f22 at 1/10th of a second.
