New Shred Sled!

Here’s the latest addition to my quiver. It’s a retro-rocket, handshaped by Lynn Shell. I spent hours in the shaping room with Lynn, watching, learning, and grabbing photos of each critical step of the shaping process. Rasco, the master glasser of Gale Force Glassing, glassed, sanded, pinlined, and sprayed it for a beautiful finish. Thanks to Big Jim for the airbrushing. Note the vintage (and trippy) 1987 Shell Shapes logo I scored! It’s got that magic carpet feel and I can’t wait to ride it!
It was truly incredible to see the craftsmanship that goes into shaping a surfboard and I’ve got a much greater appreciation for it. Here she is..

Spring Forward

Wow…..what a day! Earlier in the week was in the 20s and I was taking photos of ice on the pier pilings. Today’s weather was flawless and I managed to catch some fun waves, too. Here’s the start of a perfect day. Also added sunset on the sound, Sunday evening. Hope you enjoy.

Been right chilly last few days. Grabbed these this evening. OBBC’s newest team rider, Chris McDonald, throwin ice buckies. Thankfully temps are on the rise and will be around 60 friday and through the weekend. Maybe a little wave coming, too. Yeww.
